Stages in Tremulous are a measure of a team's progress: each team starts at Stage 1 and by accumulating kills may advance as far as Stage 3. Upon stage advancementm new structures and upgrades become available to the team's members. A kill counts towards a stage if more than half of the damage done to the victim was done by players rather than buildables or environment. The number of such kills required varies with the number of players on the team.
