interesting picture and interesting idea, although both are sideways Sounds like you'd be a bit of a target though - how would you accumulate any decent speed? Plus, I don't want to be repeatedly hammering the gloop key. One of the appealing things about bird flight is that it's demanding on the mind, not the fingers.

hmm.............
Grab sticky attack where it(the alien) cath the target like a bassilk but use wallwalk to hold it(not let go) and switch off wallwalk to let go. like atraper but the option to free the target or not.
rather like a bassilk but a bassilk can let go by moving away this technique does not let go until presses a button eg wallwalk button?

Exactly my thought. Not sure if we want Metroids in Tremulous though...

If we also change the battlesuit model to a Samus model, and the Tyrant into a giant Ridley, then I'm all for it 100%.

If this flying creature had a ranged attack, then we can imagine how "balanced" the game would be. Imagine beams of acid and/or lightning coming down from above.. Not fun for a hummus. They get fried pretty fast from lightning. Open this link to see my vision of flying ranged attack aliens. [img=http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/1443/dsc0353rv4.th.jpg]

Well... when somebody said "so its basically a ranged attack which makes sense" this idea came to mind.
But anyways, perhaps this could be a building that moves, based for aliens, that will go in the direction of the human in its sensing range, and fire its lovely attack at them. Or it could be a mod that spawns AI neutral versions of those (Just making a name up here, dont say "blarghisketch! thats not what it should beh cawled!") Flubbers which attack anything they see. They spawn at, say, 30 min or so, in the middle of the map (or wherever the Flubberlord wishes it to be)
