This will be our new server that we will be hosting off of, I plan to do alot of cool stuff for the Tremulous community, I would be willing to ofter free public servers for the tremulous community with very low ping!  Now I will not provide everything free, but I will be providing some type of discounts or packages for some of you to choose.



Processor -Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz+
Hard Drive -80GB Hard Drive
RAM -1024 MB RAM
Bandwidth -1500G
100mbps Uplink!

lol, with those specs you can only provide pissing small servers. That's not really a bad thing, but if all servers are on that machine, forget it.

yeah, you would be lucky if that machine can handle 2 20 slot servers on nexus at once (you can probably do 14+2 * 2 at most)

lol @Dundee, that should seriously consider dishing out for some more ram, at least 4gb to make optimum usage of it Smiley

actually as long as we run nothing but tremulous servers on it, we shouldn't run out of ram before we run out of cpus (even 8 servers should run fine, and we haven't confirmed that those cores can take 2 servers on nexus at the same time). if we decide we want apache, then we will probably pay for the 2nd GB. (and i'm glad someone got the joke, i was afraid it was too obscure)

I understand what your saying, but as you can see I am starting off small, I want to get this community to get enough people that they will like what we are doing and stay with us, and if I can keep that up I will upgrade.

Its ok man I get worse in other gaming forums that I go to, I already host other game servers on my other box out of California, I thought it would be nice to have another server to have just for tremulous and work my way up.  But I appreciate having your support.

Well guys I have had the server up for about a week now and it seems to really hold alot of people with low ping.  Here are prices for tremulous.

Tremulous Servers
Here is the deal for the month.
10 man server for $8.50 a month.

I charge a $1.00 a slot.

More info is needed.
What server housing, how many server are running at the same time, and most of all if you state "low ping player" what ip has your server, so we can see if it is really low ping.

Anyways, please lock this thread as it starts out to be commercial. I can see nothing free nor any packages / discounts here. (if you want to do the calculations yourself, remember there are good boxes to rent out there for as less as 30 US$ with better specs)
