Hmm I got sorces.  No but really I got a buddy who helps me out with the servers.  But I host my own so I really dont go through accept for my website and my server for another game, but other then that I do my own hosting.

Granted that may or may not be true, but based on the pricing scheme you can get 32 slots for $25.  I'm pretty flexible in the pricing though, so I'd be willing to match what others are charging.  I'd also like to think that the hardware and network really speak for themselves though (and aren't those two things the most important?)

However good the specs are, it still sucks of you have 10000 servers on one box.

What we need to know is load averages etc.

Considering the system is dedicated to game hosting, the processor usage typically hovers around 10 to 20% (it hasn't gone higher than 25% over the last 10 minutes).

I take it you've never hosted more then 3-4 trem servers at a time? The processor usage jumps from 10% to 60%, and continues to spike up to 100%. You guys will find that you wont be able to offer those pricings AND quality, unfortunetly. However, best of luck.

SST is still renting out servers, take a look at our site for more info:
http://sstcentral.com The prices are high, but we match it up with our quality and unnecessary support. All donations also go back to help support SST stay online, and any extra money is either carried over for the next month, or put back into the community. (IE, we're in the process of making a new site that will greatly help Trem)

those numbers are exaggerated by the fact that confess's server is 52 slots. on a 14(+2) slot server you can expect cpu usage to be between 20% and 35% when it's relatively full (can't tell you specific specs, but it was something like a p4), but on some maps cpu load can be much heavier under specific conditions.
