Ok I am mormon, not a steady church going one, I am fairly inactive but I find that statement utterly out of line.  maci if you tried out for SGA and didn't make it because you weren't very good would you say, "you only want skilled players you fsking fascist!"  What about oppressed? if they wouldn't take you because you didn't meet requirements would they be fascists?  I always get the "oh your mormon, so you think your going to heaven you must think your better than me or something."  Mormons in general have no opinion that they are better than normal people.  Your attitude gives the impression that you think you are superior to mormons.  Mormons will allow anyone to come to church regardless if they are potential believers.  My neighbor came to church in tennis shoes and jeans, and hes a druggy, and my bishop greeted him with welcome arms.  I agree that religion should be kept out of trem and I think that floodbud didn't make the smartest move.  Still all he was doing was trying to get a group together to play with.  He wants to surround himself with people who will uphold his standards so he doesn't have to listen to foul language ect ect.  Is there something wrong with surrounding yourself with those you get along with.  Obviously you feel offended because you assaulted this idea in an immature way.  You aren't being left out I doubt you would even want to be involved and if you could watch your language and attitude I am sure floodbud would be more than happy to let you hang around him and his fellow clan mates.  I hate arguments and I am trying to avoid them but I found your statements immature and out of line so I voiced my opinion.  Good luck floodbud, if you get some members s/w would love to scrim ya all.

I can second that, I have had friends show up to church activities and church. And be welcomed as if they went there all along.  I personally think you dont need to go to church to be a good person, or to be spiritual. Or to even be religious. Someone can study any religion within there own home, and doesnt need to go to church.

Well Good luck with this.  I personally try and keep the sportsmanship up in OPP but its nice to see others include it in there code of conduct. I am mormon, but am inactive in the church. This is not why we have a no cussing policy in our server, that is for the kids who play there.

PS:I would join (as I am mormon), but I am part of BoT| and I intend on staying there for a while.

hey we didnt say you HAD to be mormon. You just had to act as mature as a mormon "should". Obviously none of you has the potential to join except a couple of you. and i know a lot of mormons in my ward that play trem so there are more than you think. Also mormons play shooters all the time... at least the guys do. A lot of us even play halo. Its not against our religion to play games. besides the clan is just based on maturity mostly and at least some 1337 skillz.

The best part about all the controversy related to polygamy is the fact that many great prophets and leaders in the Bible had many wives, and all of Christianity just decides to ignore this. Like, suddenly we are in a "Western Society" so we decide that its evil and all that stuff in the bible can just be forgotten. Its mostly a cultural thing and related to how we are raised in our society.

I'm not saying I support polygamy. Personally, I don't see how a guy can handle more then one woman living with him full time. Thats just insane. I have a hard enough time managing one.

And I'm surprised at all the trem players that are Mormon. Thats kinda cool.
 
I also think religion needs to stay out of online gaming. Like my brother Bastard was saying, just keep it clean, make some rules of conduct that reflect your belief system to attract like minded players,  since thats really what you wanted anyway.

Hey Flood, good luck with your clan!

Might I suggest taking the religious ties out of it, tho?  There are only 5 or six Mormons on the site, and at least one (Power) if not more are already in other clans.  I think tying your clan to your religion will be a big turnoff for anyone who isn't Mormon, and limit your clan size considerably.

On a seperate note, I like your idea for having a clan based off of playing fair, nice, and no swearing/trash talking.  It's a good idea!

 Basing the clan off of the morals behind your religion is a good idea, but the Mormon religion itself could cause idealistic individuals to flame you.  Good luck, anyway.
