This guy is simply, one of the best ive ever seen. I cannot make those crazy ass jumps, he is prob going nearly 100 miles an hour per jump, and I can only do about 50-60, unless its an ice slide, but this isnt an ice slide... That guy is AMAZING! I can do similar stuff he can, just shorter distance!
NOW...
Idea...? Well the idea is... Since Wolfenstein runs Quake 3, and this game runs quake 3, why not make a gamma map? Where you get to, as a dretch, or as a marauder, or something, jump like that? The way it works is, there is a glitch in Quake 3, that allows you to turn, and therefor when turning the right way, and strafing, lets you to
JUMP FASTER, AND MUCH MUCH FARTHER THAN POSSIBLE
... Dont believe me??

Now... my idea is, its only aliens, or only humans (would have to have a patch for humans, where they have infinite stamina for jumping, + being able to change direction without losing the sprint function X) have a gamma jump. There are many jumps, but this is a gamma jump there. So what happens is, there is a reactor, and you have to kill it... by steppin on some activator that is behind it... First kill the forcefield, but you have to jump and jump till you get to it, and careful you don't fall and die... So then you get to the force field, shut it down (you can stop, but it will be hard, to get back into speed due to the gamma bars being further and further apart)... and you just keep going till you kill the spawn... or reactor, or some shit that there is to end the objective... Im personally, a very good TrickJumper, and ive mastered it almost from Wolfenstein... I will be willing to participate in tests, and i think this would bring a new meaning to Tremulous!

Strafe jumping/trick jumping is so old. You have obviously never seen annihilation or lags the movie.
If you want to have proper trick jumping go play some Defrag.

your speed is capped in tremulous, you can get to the cap in about 2 strafejumps even if you suck at trickjumping.

hmm... dretches strafe-run pretty nicely. I guess you refer only to humans, right?
That being said, I see no point in making a trick-jumps version of Trem. If you like tricks, you should try defrag or Warsow.

That being said, I see no point in making a trick-jumps version of Trem. If you like tricks, you should try defrag or Warsow.
i didn't say it was capped at your base speed, you gain quite a bit by strafejumping, but you don't keep gaining speed indefinitely like they did in that video.

no it won't, I'm a horrible trickjumper, but i would easily be able to get through any tremulous trickjump maps because of the limit.
