Seriously, either machines or some other alien.
However, another alien race would be hard without ripping off the Covenant, Protoss, or Predator.
Perhaps an idea would be to take a fantasy race and change the concept, I.e. from Warhammer or WarCraft.

I'll just make it so Herbert was a human who got turned into a dretch by the nazis, which explains why he wants to save the marines. This story is flawless, people, it's movie material! |

Make the race flying robotic/organic for 2 extra races that side with aliens and humans and they can evolve/andvance and aliens can use them as transports and humans can pilot mounted turrets on the back with plasma canons for aliens and flamers for humans etc.............................................. ................................................. ................................................. ................................................. ..................... NOT PINK BUNNIES OF DOOM BLUE ONES WOULD WORK OF COURS IF U WANT
