taring it back up doesn't do very much, you need to compile the source, and then put the files it produces into the proper structure that tremulous expects, and then run the new executable.

Human gun idea:
Unreal tournament has a gun called the ripper =) i love that gun to death, but to bring one into trem would be so great, killing those drentches who hide on the otherside of walla by making it bounce off the far wall and back at them,
itll make good for s3 weapon which can do 70 dmg, the blade lasts 10 sec before it deteriorates and it can pierce =) travel speed would be a little less or equal to that of a drentch, and on ff servers this would be hilarious with the tks from newbs =)

make a folder named ~/.tremulous/tremx, put tremx.pk3 and vm_tremx.pk3 in that folder, start the server as tremded.x86 +set dedicated 2 +set fs_game tremx (i'm assuming your server is still on linux)
edit: i forgot to mention, this needs a newer tremded than 1.1.0, if it doens't work with tjw's tremded, then you will need to get it from svn.
also, vcxzet, did you do something to adv dretch damage? i don't remeber being able to take out a turret in 2 bites (edit: it's 1 bite). there are currently 2 things that make it impossible to have a serious game with this mod: adv. tyrant against the unupgraded human defenses, and adv. dretch (and humans not having their shiny new weapons, but that will be fixed later on).
edit2: tyrant nades need more knockback, i won't be happy until i see nade-jumping tyrants

You've added extreme player units, maybe it's time to add extreme buildings too. Things like long range high energy beam turrets, alien turrets shooting high speed dragoon barbs

ok idont know if its the server or just me...
igo to smokeys unlimted BP server which ithink has the new mod installed...i dowloaded the vm file and added it to the /tremx file then i go and load up...
then im in his server..then about 3 minutes into the game it ulls me out directly back to the menu screedn and i try to click play but its no good..itrey mod and quit and nothing seems to work.. so kan u tell what the problem is?
it just pullls me into the menu and im stuck. and yes i did start the game using the bat file.

Don't be afraid to brake the ballance! :wink:
Now you just have to give something for humans.
Few ideas:
*General*
-Allow the trigger_push
-Make the game find it's own servers (solution might be gamemode wich is on default maps as tremulous so yours could have tremx and then have new pk3 files of the maps that has "gamemode tremx" in their arena file)
-four way mach as a game mode! (humans vs. humans vs. aliens vs. aliens)
*Humans*
-Bug Toxic Thrower (flamer like poison gas gun)
-Energy cannon (shoots slow big projectile that shocks everything in limited radius. Divides shock damage between objects shocked.)
-Ice thrower (slows and eventualy freezes and if too long under fire then kills)
-Adv Nade! (cost would be about 700 creds and would do 150% damage and 150% radius compared to old nade)
-Telsa Pack (backpack that would give a telsa shock but would recharge for 10 secs after shocking)
-Custom turrets (Must be hard to make but if it could be phosible to put some of the weapons that human has on its hands to the turret although making the human lose the gun from his hands)
*Aliens*
-Adv Granner with trapper ammo (wich would be fun major fun as a soldier)
-Adv Basilisk with flame breath (i know i already sed it!)
-Adv Drech Kamikaze Attack (well after player uses mouse3 he has 3 secs to live but any way of dying inside that time or at the end of that time player produces 60% damage of nade and leaves that acid stuff that alien structures do when they die)
