No we need a carrier,a alien that carries smaller aliens like dretches and can launch alien parasites/swarms of those flying bugs.
And a a item that makes the average soldier without bs more buff.Maybe make health 200 or 280 and makes it more resilient to alien attacks and can carry chaingun without shaking when shooting but cant use jetpack.More muscular but a little bit slower.

sorry for bumping this old thread  if you ever wondered the changes in tremx ... I created a patch (quick dirty untested) http://www.mercenariesguild.net/tremx/tremx.patchit is against 872 but some attacks are non-unlagged (wow it is small looks like I did not copy paste much) and a backport that works with tjw's tremded (dedicated only) http://www.mercenariesguild.net/tremx/vms_tremx_bp.pk3(nah nothing new) hmmm thanks to mercenariesguild for the webspace btw

dunno really but hey tremx's server browser has gametype field you can check the tremx ones I also added sort by gametype but it needs a new client binary :/

added homing luci: chases for the alien targets if none acts as normal luci stasis gun: slows down aliens wrt their speed and mass (for now it looks like pulse rifle :X)
new alien class to be added mooty : giant granger that has grappling ability

I played TremX yesterday. Let me tell you- The boot is most definately on the other foot now.
If humans get to S3, aliens are finished. It doesnt matter how well they were doing. The Xael will take down almost anthing with it. And if you start spamming- good Lord ! Seriously- The Xael needs to be nerfed !

All my TremX files were autodowloaded from bricosoft. Although, i think some files are corrupt. If anyone tries to enter a tremX server when the last server they came from was also tremX (meaning, that the menu is in tremX style), then they get kicked out with a message about an unpure client detected. If you enter a non-TX server and try the TX one again, it works fine... ?? :-? ?? and the Xael file is corrupt too... it has no info about it in the armoury screen, no price on it, although it does cost 1000 credits. is it supposed to cost that much? it's not too different from the luci and it costs 400 more creds... thats a bsuitsworth of money! :eek: Is this being looked at? I'd like it to get fixed. (and, in my opinion, the xael is overpowered and tremX was reasonably balanced before it showed up...) EDIT: and, oh yeah, the xael on bricosoft is still a blue luci... is it gonne get updated?

Ok - I'll just delete it ALL and reinstall... k... i'll try that..
EDIT: worked. deleted entire folder, replaced with dl'ed files of 0.3.1
Auto-dowloaded more files from bricofsoft... not sure why, but then it worked.
More ppl having same trouble. a guy called P0P dousn't seem to be able to get it working. he might post here later, if he's on the forums...
