So I wanted to install tremulous 1.2 on Ubuntu, after I ran and finished, I tried launching it but nothing would happen. I would see this black window pop up for just a split second then go away. So I tried launching 1.1 from a shortcut I had and it did the same thing. I uninstalled 1.2 and tried 1.1 but it still wouldn't work. I even ran the installer for 1.1 again but that didn't fix it. Where do I uninstall 1.1 and how do you correctly install 1.2?

Did you try deleting the autogen.cfg file?

Its propably Autogen.cfg and problems with resolution. Get in autogen, copy your binds, then delete it or create it. (Or ask anyone on internet to send you one). Teh all from me

The nodding of the head once to symbolize a greeting, cuz we white folk to damn lazy to open our mouths and speak up. Nods are also easier to shake off than a flase "hello".
"Person nods at you", or your direction, "you nod back"

And I was Nod like you, but I took an arrow in the knee.

Tell me what operating system it is. This is what i know so far:

Linux - my trem was too slow to run so i didnt bother about it

*****

Macintosh - Library/Appplication support/Tremulous/base.

*****

Windows XP - where c:/ is the main hard driver: c:/documents and settings/USER/Application Data/Tremulous/base
-Or- c:/documents and settings/USER/Local Settings/Application Data/Tremulous for standard 1.1 client (does not apply to gpp or tremfusion clients)

Windows 8/7/vista - not sure, but instead of localsettings it would be roaming or something like that. The path should be similar though. You have to ask someone else as i don't own windows 7/vista/8.

He probably didn't bother to install proper drivers for his graphics card, tbh it's not worth speculating, as all attempts to provide URV with tech support have proven to be exercises in futility.
