Base A51 - Beta 2



Beta 2 of my map is now released. It's not a very big update, though it features some improvements. Thanks to CorSair for giving me feedback on Beta 1.

Changelog (Beta 2):

 - Added some pipes outside front entrances to bring more vertical gameplay into the map
 - Added fast doors at front and side entrances of bases, between rockwalls and red ramps, at lobby side entrances and at corridor entrances
 - Added windows in the roof at the opposite side of rockwalls
 - Added non-working vending machines
 - Added some blood to the alien side of the map
 - Added more details all around the map
 - Fixed some very small leaks

Beta 1:
Hi everyone!

I have finally decided to join the forums and release Beta 1 of my first map, Base A51. Since this is my first map it probably has a few flaws, but I think it should be quite playable. The premise of the map is simple: Humans are fighting an alien invasion in some secret laboratory on a distant planet.

I'd appreciate all comments and criticism you might have. I already know that the map needs a bit more detailing and that the skybox seams need fixing so you don't have to tell me about those.

I did a little peek on map, and here is my summary...

Corridors from rockwall, lobby and all way to labs in both teams, seem to have bit upper hand for humans. Simple fix for here would be fast doors.

Except being dull, as you mentioned, I don't find nothing else bad to say.
I might check out this more, if I am not tired. Tongue

Now had better inspection on your map, and my results...

I don't see any faults, no leaks or glitches. Works like perfect. Didn't get stuck or similar.

With doors, this gives bit more chances to get close enough, especially alien main base won't get raped that easily.

And with more decoration, this map certainly looks better. Improved lighting also creates good atmosphere on the map.

Now, in my opinion, this would be good to put on even official servers.
Only thing that needs to resolve fix that skybox. Looks bit sick on edges. Tongue And see does this suck on gameplay or not.

If you want some textured, UV unwrapped models let me know. (.Blends)
I think your map needs some more details, flasks, broken glass,
forceps, maybe some restraining tables, maybe some surgery junk?Huh?
