I know I'm not a popular admin, and even though I don't doubt my actions I feel that it'd be best for the community if I resign my position. An unliked admin will never attract new players, and I've come to understand this.

So for better or for worse, I quit.

Disclaimer: I'm aware of the many "I quit" threads. I'm aware that there are those that come back. I will still play, but you will never see me as kharnov or any of my aliases ever again. The qkey is gone, and this account will soon be deleted. I hope to see you all in-game, although you will never know it's me. I have best wishes for the community, and this is the right thing to do.

Though, I do have one thing to say: Those of you who have constantly pestered him, forcing him to do this probably feel like this is a great triumph- But really... To all of you jerks that continually harassed him, you should be ashamed. Imagine, being ridiculed so much that you feel the only option is to start all over as an UnnamedPlayer. Putting everything behind you, not even taking the risk of telling his friends who he is. Starting trem again with absolutely no friends. If you're happy about all of this, then you're cold and heartless- Never in a million years could you understand the concept of "firm."

Kharnov was always a great friend to me, while I still have outside contact with him it will never be the same as playing with him, and I mean him. This is indeed one of the most depressing days of tremulous history for me, I hope all of you flamers are happy, at least that way someone can be.

I think the way he saw it, it was either him or them. Seeing as they make up a massive chunk of the playerbase... I think, well the fear of killing tremulous is what forced this. People hated him, they hated him because they bugged him, and he muted them- If he was gone, then the problem, with him at least would be solved, and hell maybe the drama in the long run would die down.

EDIT: Just because he's gone don't think you're going to go on spam parties. Just some forewarning.

Well, though I didn't have much fondness for the "newer" incarnation of kharnov (a.k.a. That Guy), I have always had a lot of respect for the person behind this name, mainly for all the valuable information he shared for the benefit of newbies like myself. After all I did learn a lot from his written guides (especially on building) and for the record, this is how I remember the real kharnov (or at least my perception of him). This is the kharnov that I sincerely miss.

As for the "that guy" incarnation, there isnt really much to miss. And for the "unrecognizable" reincarnation that is about to appear, well all I can say is, here's to a brand new start. I hope everyone can let bygones be bygones. Cheers.
