I'm posting this on behalf of [W]onderland, since our owner, DraZiLox, isn't on right now, and we're just trying to understand the problem. Our server is hosted by Snake (Nos snake or something), and recently we were under attack (someone got access to rcon or SSH or something, and they banned everyone who was connecting with the reason "ThE_GaMe"). We got the server restarted, but now whenever someone tries to connect, they are redirected back to the main Trem client screen. I tried it with Tremfusion-tty (command line trem), and I got this error:

Code:
----- FS_Startup -----
execing autogen.cfg
fs_game will be changed upon restarting.
execing autoexec.cfg
couldn't exec autoexec.cfg
********************
ERROR: Invalid game folder

execing autoexec.cfg
couldn't exec autoexec.cfg
Loading vm file vm/ui.qvm...
File "vm/ui.qvm" found at "/Users/student/Library/Application Support/Tremulous/base"
UI menu load time = 43 milli seconds
xUI menu load time = 19 milli seconds
xUI menu load time = 17 milli seconds

Is there any way we can fix it? The main error is:

Code:
********************
ERROR: Invalid game folder

********************

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

fs_game is a variable that tells tremulous (amoung other things) to look in that folder for .pk3s and stuff. Your fs_game variable is set in such a way that you do not have a folder with that name.

Also, autogen.cfg has a line in it that is trying to change fs_game, which seems odd to me.

Just a side note, make sure all your admins have cl_guidserveruniq set to 1, or this could happen again.

The only way to clean up after a breach is to wipe everything and restore a clean backup.
Otherwise you can never be sure there isn't something else changed somewhere.
