So in case you didn't notice it.... Tremulous isn't going to be on xbox 360 anymore... So it was either not a joke or they just doesn't want to admit they made a stupid joke.

they're going to release 1.2 for a day but then change the master server address and not tell anyone the new one.

Not a very good april fools when every post alluding to it was deleted... Also not that funny when you had enough time to set up a website for a one day joke while trem 1.2 has been waited on for years.

A) Setting up a site doesn't take long
B) The people 1.2 is still waiting on weren't involved.
C) Getting the map made gave opportunity to twist people's arms into doing work on 1.2.
D) The extra publicity can't hurt.  May have already snagged an extra artist.  (No idea if that worked out though)

Can you be honest with us at to what exactly is taking so long? There are heaps of people out there willing to work on models/art etc for a nice touch on there resume for what is the closest thing to a commercial game...I dunno about publicity, maybe it did work out, but as ive started to call trem lately 'RC/retard central' I gather that about %50 of people believed the joke and were thinking of leaving the game becuase they didnt want to have to pay for it :/

Well, at least it was a joke... After all, the switch would kill the game anyway, as its being an easy to play, graphics low end friendly FREE game, switching to such a bad venue would no doubt infuriate the loyals and not really reach the broader Xbox whatever they call themself...

It was horrible taste though, as there where many people that fell for it that were freaking out,,, After all, the rest of trem's presence on line is fading into oblivion. Map repo's going away, download sites without trem files... Not good for an ailing community of servers and a very CRAPPY new version.,.. (AKA 1.2)
