Maybe they want the game to look exactly as they want. I don't think if a different person started making some models they would look as good as the rest (for the eyes of the devs)

in short: a lot of time for the all models they are ready, soon, tremulous need more people making models and others things(exemple:particle system, graphics, sounds, scripts..)  Undecided

Heh, I started modeling like a week ago, I can't make anything that has a texture on it and I ussualy make loads of unneeded polys. in other stuff my modeling skills are quite high for the first week.

Basically, no one is willing to take the time and effort to get good at modeling and animating. Stannum just happened to be an expert at modeling before he encountered tremulous.. but correct me if I'm wrong.

Most of those are not near as high a quality as needed, some are too high poly, and optimus is certainitly very talented, but drawings can not run around in Tremulous. ;-)

I'd just like to say i've always found that although KorX's gameplay is garbage, their developers have a LOT of potential.

Even though the flying alien KorX made reminds me exactly of a dragonfly, the fact they got the wings to animate and they made a fairly decent use for it amazes me. Thumbs up for KorX, I honestly wish I knew how to code in C to help develop with them.

I think Stannum has personally outdone all of them, in terms of detail, precision, concept, and sexyness.

(But no one's ever seen Stannum's work on a playermodel; just the 1st-person view guns and chompers and whatnot.)

@Stannum: I've heard that you have difficulties getting quality pple to model things, has the idea of a modeling competition been floated? I know that a while ago there was a map making competition, it actually presented some good work. Maybe, if it hasn't already been done or thot of and rejected, be something that might be worthwhile. Just a thought. Unless you are so close to being complete that it would take more time to get the comp up and running than it would to complete your work for 1.2.

some say there is no skilled labor that can work in tremulous free, but, I think these people do not know sites like fpsbanana / moddatabase(much material for old engines), and they do not know others q3mods(urban terror, alien arena, Reaction Quake 3, Gundam Universe, Bid for power, XreaL...)   Grin
