Seriously, search for various HUDs on the forum (I started with Otic's as the base for mine), install one, study the files in the /ui directory, and then start editing.

um about the luci looking like the flak cannon was my bad  Tongue.
I think the flak cannon i was remembering was form a much much older version. so yah. soryz. Embarrassed Embarrassed
I still love the stuff! It's a refreshing change. i realized though that it seems as if the rifle is the old one thats thinner sleeker with a scope on! i like it becuz it sorta preserves the older version and... i dunno! i like it anyways.

Cant wait for the claws! i can tell if im clawing without sound!  Wink
Hopefully there's an effect when hitting something. Dunno why my sound is messed up though.

I Like BloodLord's idea of buying add-ons.  

If the sights are necessary, i prefer the square ones, like the rifle's
Circles are ugly. and the sights on the guns except rifle, kinda look unstable.

I hope i don't seem too negative this time..  Tongue

In console type /cg_shadows 2 for stencil shadows or /cg_shadows 3 for projection shadows.

I think the screenshots use projection shadows because they lack self-shadowing.

Electricity texture on the tag. Otherwise it won't export.

The shadows are very location dependant and really only look good with screenshots.

cg_shadows 2 and 3 both suffer from vis culling issues. You can see them through walls in some cases(see atcs for example).

Speaking of shadows, Stannum, how do you paint in the shadows for the weapon/character textures(since almost nothing is real-time)? Do you just start with an ambient occluded uvmap or something?

I don't know, the dragoons attack with their teeth so making legs for a goon would be a little pointless. It would be cool if you could see human legs when you face the camera down.

No1 care about such opinions. This ideas was posted on forum every 1-2 months. and no one care. Thats why such things u can found only in mods. Currently we trying make blood splashes, marks, destructable objs and some hdr effects for our InstaGib mod. May be after we finish it patches gonna be on servers. =\

Well as far I know aliens don't have eyes in their mouths but if you really want to see aliens teeth, then make it visible only while attacking and don't make it cover whole screen

Now we making maps for mod, mod itself with bonuses, trickjumping and stuff. Also we started client-side part development. We planning improve renderer, add some more FX and some features for maps. Also making new models... We have big plans, but its gonna take some time. =D

We also have server-side mod on this moment. It anyway  support bonuses, arcade-like movement and other stuff. But we want some more. On this moment while our server admin making new server for better perfomance we working on client-side mod part. =) After we make stable version mb introduce to our mod gonna be posted on trem forums. =)
